Click on the Download button below, and when prompted, choose to save the file to a temporary location, such as your Windows desktop.
Extracting and installing the software onto your ProtoTRAK:
This section describes the easiest way to get the software you have downloaded from your computer hard drive to your ProtoTRAK. If this doesn't suit your needs, please call the Service Department (800-367-3165) for instructions.
For Windows XP, Vista and 7 users:
1. Plug your USB flash drive into your USB port.
2. Double Click on the zip file that you've just downloaded.
3. Go up to the top left hand corner of your window, and click on FILE, and then EXTRACT ALL.
4. An Extraction Wizard window will appear. Click on NEXT.
5. Underneath where it says "Files will be extracted to this directory:" type in the location / drive letter of the device you wish to install the software from (for example, E:\ for your USB thumb drive. The software MUST be copied within the root directory of the drive), then click NEXT.
6. This should start copying all the necessary files to the floppy drive. Once complete, click on the FINISH button. Then proceed to the instructions on installing to your ProtoTRAK control below.
Installing the software on your ProtoTRAK from USB FLASH DRIVE
If you are using ProtoTRAK software version 4.6.5 or higher:
1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your ProtoTRAK.
2. Press the SYS button
3. Select Update Master
4. Select the drive letter of the drive that you wish to install from, and press YES.
5. Press the RESUME button.
6. This should update the necessary software, and then reboot if necessary.
7. After bootup, press the SYS button again.
8. Select Update Slave
9. Select the drive letter of the drive that you wish to install from, and press YES.
10. Press the RESUME button.
11. This should update the necessary software, and then reboot if necessary.
Installing the software on your ProtoTRAK from USB FLASH DRIVE
If you are using ProtoTRAK software version older than 4.6.5:
1. Plug your USB flash drive and keyboard into a USB port on your ProtoTRAK.
2. Using your keyboard, press the PAUSE BREAK button - this will exit out of our software.
3. Press CTRL and ESC at the same time. This will bring up the START menu.
4. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the RUN option. Press ENTER.
5. In the text box, type in the following: d:\pt4sxinstall.exe This will update the master software portion. Once complete, it will reboot the computer.
6. After bootup, press the SYS button.
7. Select Update Slave
8. Select the drive letter of the drive that you wish to install from, and press YES.
9. Press the RESUME button.
10. This should update the necessary software, and then reboot if necessary.
Changes from the previously released version
- Fixed issue with Verify software, where it would not reflect the latest change in his software unless he used the TOOL PATH feature.
- Fixed issue with system not remembering across shutdowns the last folder opened in PROG I/O.
